Happy New Year!
I can't believe how fast the year went, it seems like not long ago we were ringing in 2008.
Since this is the last day of the year, this is also the last day of my blog. I will still be posting in 2009 but I'm switching over to my other blog. You can find me here:

I plan to do a lot of organizing in the new year, especially in my scrap room. I got a head start on some it yesterday and feel better about it already. I hated that I couldn't find things or forgot what I had.

Have a safe and enjoyable evening and I'll see you next year!

This morning we woke up to find a tree had snapped in half and landed in our backyard. I'm so glad it missed the house or the surrounding power lines etc...

Here's Sebastion under the tree checking out my new sewing machine.

This is Jack & I on Christmas night in our new jammies and we're coloured co-ordinated. I didn't even notice until I loaded the photos, lol.

D & R came over for a Christmas visit on Sat night and we exchanged presents...this was the photo album we gave them.

This is the photo album they gave us...almost identical and we had no idea what each other would buy. It was so funny.

Last night we went to Jack's Christmas Party...we all thought we were going for you're typical dinner, drinks and mingling. Well it didn't take long to figure out that we were smack dab right in the middle of a murder mystery. It was a lot of fun witnessing the "murders", checking out the "evidence" and trying to figure out who dunnit. It made for a great night out and not another typical Christmas party. Oh and the food was amazing...I had traditional turkey dinner and Jack had NY peppercorn steak, and for dessert we had the yummiest Egg Nog cheesecake I've ever had (see photo below).

This poor teddy was sent to one of the victims before she "died". Moments later she was poisoned, lol.

This was our "Head Waiter" who had a good time with Jack and vice versa.

The fesitval of trees at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver. Jack & I had some time to kill before the hockey game on Sunday night. So we wandered Pacific Center and ended up at the Four Season looking at all the trees.

After all the cold weather and snow we've been having lately, a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows is the perfect drink to warm up with...and of course chocolate cookies.
